8/14/2023 0 Comments New expo markers not working![]() Other polymers are more “slippery” and thus, don’t attach to surfaces well. These kinds of polymers are found in your Sharpie permanent marker. Some polymers are “stickier” and cling to surfaces much stronger. What allows dry erase markers to easily erase from whiteboards is the type of pigment polymer used. The other main ingredient in dry erase markers is the ink or pigment. The recycled office air inside just doesn’t feel as good as what’s outside. In either case, plan on getting outside for some real fresh air right after the meeting ends. If you’re the one having to use the whiteboard, use the low-odor markers, keep some distance from the whiteboard and cap the marker when you’re not using it. If you’re trapped and can’t get relief within the room, step outside the meeting for a few minutes when the topic isn’t related to your responsibilities or projects. The best thing to do is sit further away from the whiteboard, closer to a window (if there is one) or sit by the door and leave the door open to allow the odor to dissipate out of the room and fresh air to enter. Also the bigger the marker, the greater the odor.įor some of us, even the slightest hint of that odor is enough to trigger some light dizziness or even headaches. It’s most pronounced when it’s a fresh new dry erase marker that’s opened and used for the first time. It’s an unavoidable aspect that comes with usage. There’s always a hint of the solvent odor evaporating into the air. However, it’s still not completely 100% odorless. It’s not as “stingy” in odor and it still works effectively to transport the ink pigment to the surface. In today’s dry erase markers, most manufacturers have shifted toward using less harsh solvents that are marketed as “low odor.” These types of markers use denatured alcohol blends kind of like rubbing alcohol in a way. Water-based solvents aren’t nearly as smelly as chemical-based ones. It’s the odor from the solvent that’s evaporating into the air while the marker is being used.ĭepending upon what type of solvent the manufacturer uses, the odor strength and smell can vary widely. This is probably the most irritating and annoying aspect of dry erase markers. And then, you wonder what’s worse, the fine chalk dust or acrid marker odors. You step outside for a few minutes to get some real fresh air and clear your foggy head. The meeting ends and when you step outside of the conference room, even the recycled office air seems fresh compared to what’s been inside. Now, her modern abstract rendition of a “boat,” which looks more like a penis, is on permanent exhibit for everyone in the office to see. Some cubicle culprit somewhere is giggling right now. ![]() She just got duped by a permanent marker - a rookie mistake of not checking the marker before using it. She reaches for the eraser to make corrections, but ’s not wiping off. The thick black lines almost make it seem to smell stronger. If you were any closer, you’d start getting a headache. And you’re sitting toward the back of the windowless conference room. It’s a fresh new dry erase marker and the odor is nearing your tolerance levels. Those little white sticks of chalk are now replaced with colorful dry erase markers and whiteboards.Īs the presenter opens the cap to the blue marker and starts drawing out the idea on the whiteboard, the strong alcohol-like odor immediately spreads across the conference room. Today, as a working adult, you don’t have to worry about chalky messes in the conference room. If you’ve ever had the unfortunate privilege of being seated at the front of the classroom as an elementary school kid, you’ll know all about this. And any little inhale makes you want to choke. ![]() Things get worse when she uses the eraser - wiping the chalk markings from the blackboard sends fine chalk dust particles into the air. As the teacher is writing on the blackboard, you can see tiny bits of chalk flaking off with each word and falling to the floor.

8/14/2023 0 Comments Minecraft earth server![]() On 7th November 2020, RT streamed Greenland. ![]() Prior to the travel hub's creation, players had to fly from the latest region to explore the rest of the world. The hub featured a straight corridor with portals on each side. On this day, the first fast travel hub for New Earth was created it allowed players to travel from the spawn platform to the current portal in addition to previous build regions across the map. The region was closed on 3rd November 2020. This allowed for users to complete their builds, even if they were not done by the end of the stream it also let users build in the region at any time if they were unable to make the stream. This was the first build region in New Earth to follow a new "hybrid" model for build zones: it initially started as a stream build and still remained open for building after the end of the stream. This stream marked the beginning of several features for the server. On 22nd October 2020, a region was opened up that covered most of Mainland America (also known as the contiguous United States), where RT streamed and toured the area while people built for just under four hours. These ideas of common courtesy would continue into preceding build streams. After these concerns were discussed and resolved in the community, builders have become much more considerate about the space they use larger projects have been scaled down and road networks changed to be less wide. Both concerns led to the erasure of some builds. In addition, there was controversy over large builds being larger than their native countries. Many concepts introduced from the public builds in Russia continued in this zone, but concern was brought up regarding larger builds and roads firstly, community members expressed worry about the massive amounts of space that a road network was taking, which severely reduced free space for other builders to use. This region was temporarily closed on 16 September as RT was touring Russia and reopened once the stream had finished.Ĭoncerns over Large Builds and Road Networks This area featured multiple countries including Morocco, Algeria, Western Sahara, Mali, Senegal, and the Canary Islands. These concepts of builds would continue in following builds.ĭespite the cancellation of an expected stream, plans to open a new region still went into action. The eastern zone of Russia also marked the introduction of full regional road systems across Public Builds the road system in eastern Russia ranges across 3000 blocks. This region marked the debut of a greatly increased presence of build groups & much larger projects, armor stand builds, and note block builds, including jingles and full-length songs. This build zone finally closed on 13th September 2020 at 1pm, making this the largest and longest region at this time. Once again this was finally expanded to the very East of Russia, going up to the edge of the world, on the 29th August 2020. The zone was further expanded to the East once more on the 13th August. It was later expanded to the East on the 5th August 2020, as the video released to include even more of Northern Russia. The second public build was opened after the stream on 30th July 2020, expanding to a northern section of Russia. 42 Stream 22 - Pixel Art Canvas/Worlds End.36 Stream 20 - Middle America/Central America.29 Stream 17 - Viewing Middle East & Mainland China.20 Stream 11 - East Asia and Viewing Africa.10 Stream 5 - Viewing Northern Russia (Part 2). ![]()
8/14/2023 0 Comments Vimeo sexy massageIt conflicts with the constitution and international treaties and requires urgent judicial review.”Īshwanee Budoo-Scholtz, Africa deputy director for Human Rights Watch, said: “Museveni’s signing of the anti-homosexuality bill is a serious blow to the right to freedom of expression and association in Uganda, where instead of being restricted they ought to be strengthened. It is a recipe for systematic violations of the rights of LGBT people and the wider population. A statement from the UN read: “We are appalled that the draconian and discriminatory anti-gay bill is now law. There has been strong condemnation of Museveni. “LGBTQI+ people in Uganda increasingly fear for their safety and security, and people are being discouraged from seeking vital health services for fear of attack, punishment and further marginalisation,” added the statement, signed by Peter Sands, Winnie Byanyima and John Nkengasong. Trust, confidentiality and stigma-free engagement are essential for anyone seeking health care,” said the statement. “The stigma and discrimination associated with the passage of the act has already led to reduced access to prevention as well as treatment services. In a joint statement, the heads of the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria, UNAids and the US President’s Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (Pepfar) reacted with “deep concern” and said progress on tackling Aids and HIV was “now in grave jeopardy”. That bullying we shall not give you money. He said: “The president has shown great courage to defy bullying of the Americans and Europeans. Martin Ssempa, one of the main backers of the bill, presented it as a victory against the US and Europe and suggested Uganda needed to push back against groups working to tackle HIV. The speaker said MPs had withstood pressure from “bullies and doomsday conspiracy theorists” and called for courts to begin enforcing the new laws. ![]() “We have stood strong to defend our culture and aspirations of our people,” she said, thanking Museveni for his “steadfast action in the interest of Uganda”. It imposes the death penalty or life imprisonment for certain same-sex acts, up to 20 years in prison for “recruitment, promotion and funding” of same-sex “activities”, and anyone convicted of “attempted aggravated homosexuality” faces a 14-year sentence.ĭescribed by the UN high commissioner for human rights, Volker Türk, as “shocking and discriminatory”, the bill was passed by all but two of 389 MPs on 21 March. He said Washington was considering “sanctions and restriction of entry into the United States against anyone involved in serious human rights abuses” – a suggestion that Ugandan officials may face repercussions.Įarly on Monday, the speaker of the Ugandan parliament, Anita Annet Among, released a statement on social media confirming Museveni had assented to the law first passed by MPs in March. US President Joe Biden decried the act as “shameful” and “tragic violation of universal human rights”. 8/14/2023 0 Comments Alien news desk castSyfy kept it relatively quiet regarding what should be called one of their surprise milestone hits in the adult animation sphere to begin the year, and whatever press it had was through the SNL connection back in November 2018. Alien News Desk Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere? As the critical consensus and fans have agreed, these jokes do land well – making the show an overall powerful package with immense potentials. The show structurally resembles a late night news show as well, and the cusp of its content then relies on how it sets up and executes each joke, each of which is presented in the garb of news clusters. The alien perspective, while it is the launching pad for any number of joke setups, also acts as the perfect frame to satirize human folly. It is a show about two extraterrestrial beings who occupy a late night newsroom and discuss various goings-on about the earth and humankind, the oh-so-interesting species. Alien News Desk Plot: What is it about?Īlien News Desk is pretty straightforward as long as nomenclature is considered – you get exactly what you read. Will Forte, the very same mind behind The Last Man on Earth, plays Drexx Drudlarr, while Super Mansion-starrer Heidi Gardner fills in as Tuva van Void. The two hosts Drexx and Tuva are played by their original voice talents, likewise. The show, unsurprisingly, has its cast consist almost exclusively of SNL members both on and off-screen. The show itself has a number of SNL execs working behind the camera, including Lorne Michael, and producer Erik Kenward. The format of the show was first a running sketch on Saturday Night Live (this is also not even remotely the first time that a full-fledged show has developed out of placeholder SNL tryouts), which Syfy deemed would feel at home given their show-reel agenda. That said, the show is not a work of original innovation, but rather the extension of an idea with a strong Saturday Night Live pedigree. Admittedly, Austin Reading and Chris Prynoski’s work under the supervision of Lorne Michael himself does not match up to the legendary incisive satire of South Park or the early Simpsons seasons, yet it is still probably one of the biggest and brightest ‘silly’ shows of the year – one that knocks its implicit satire out of the ballpark. The fact that it so conveniently places itself under the category of ‘adult animation show’ only heightens this strength. ‘Alien News Desk’, even though it sells itself as a lighthearted detour from sincere journalism – ‘silly’ to put it in Monty Python-speak – becomes a parody of this very aspect of modern TV media. 8/13/2023 0 Comments Sleeping at last countdowns![]() These electrons accelerate across an electrostatic field inside the Since we did a Rolling Stones countdown and we're recently doing Dylan, I think that it's only fair that we do one for the Beatles too.Inside the intensifier, a photocathode is “excited” by the light and converts I would like that to be more of a communal than personal list, if I can get some of you to get involved. Record Man & I already started doing this before this blog even existed. In order to do justice to the material, we divided the lists in four different time periods: 1962-64, 1965-66, 1967 and one that is yet to come, 1968-70. Pepper/With A Little Help From My Friends Here are my lists from before this blog (RM, if you still have yours, please post them here in the comments' section).Īs for the 1967 lists, they were published on this blog, with comments for each song here's Record Man's list:ġ0) Sgt. It over-powered everything else in the Summer of Love but IMO, it's the singles released outside of it that really shine hence the logjam of Pepper tunes in the bottom rungs. They are all stellar but there was more to consider.ĩ) Across The Universe. Me, I guess I'll stick with the original though I kinda miss the strings.Ĩ) Hello Goodbye. I wasn't a big fan of this confection at the time and really resented it's chart dominance of Walrus but whatever. It's actually grown on me over the years but c'mon, seriously?ħ) Baby You're A Rich Man. Lennon may have been high as a kite but it sure didn't damper his creativity.Ħ) Magical Mystery Tour. Another anthem that shoulda been a single. Great Horn charts!ĥ) All You Need Is Love. For the Beatles, 1967 was the year of the anthem and this exhortation to love really is all you need.Ĥ) A Day In The Life. This one blew everyone's mind.ģ) Strawberry Fields. I really want to consider this and Penny Lane as one entity but that would be a disservice to both tunes. I know this is the Holy Grail for many Lennon fans and if it's any consolation, only the thinnest of lines separates the two.Ģ) Penny Lane: I loved this song as a teenager and it still gives me the feels 50 years on. Paul's English travelogue was wondrous to a boy living on a tropical island.ġ) I Am The Walrus. Why this psychedelic fever dream appealed to an impressionable teen-aged mind I'll never be able to rightly explain. ![]() The funny thing is, it failed to encourage any drug use. Here's my list, in two parts, because as usual, I say too much:ġ5) When I'm Sixty-Four: McCartney best of his trio of British Music Hall numbers (the other two being Your Mother Should Know and Maxwell's Silver Hammer). It's light and breezy and camp enough to be an enjoyable experience.ġ5) She's Leaving Home: McCartney's stylistic follow-up to Eleanor Rigby lacks the former's magnificently clear structure and poetic lyrics. Still, it's a song that any other composer would have sacrificed an arm and a leg to have been able to write.ġ4) Getting Better: Paul was the driving force behind SPLHCB. John was in the process of putting his own life ahead of the Beatles, George was deeply into Indian philosophy and Ringo was dissatisfied. Paul's premise was of placing the album 20 years after the band was formed, which would make it around 1980. So, in Getting Better, Paul from the future was looking back at this difficult time for the band and reassuring his band-mates that it would, indeed get better.ġ3) Hello Goodbye: as a child I loved the song. Then as a teenager I semi-rejected it as too simple for its period. I re-appreciated it as an adult, especially for its vocal harmonies. The Beatles' voices blended together in a magical way and this was one of the best examples of it.ġ2) Baby You're A Rich Man: I stand by your description - my feelings exactly.ġ1) Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite: the prevalent feeling of SPLHCB album is that of a Sunday in a British holiday town, like Brighton or Bournemouth. 8/13/2023 0 Comments Tinderbox pipes![]() Part of the attraction were the famous pipes handmade by Kolpin himself. Later it moved to its current location in 1948 where it began serving the many Hollywood celebrities living nearby. A few include the Tinder Box Unique, made by Charatan, Christmas Pipes by Ascorti, and the Tinder Box Noble and Exotica, made by Shalom Pipe Factory, Mauro Armellini did make the Verona and Napoli lines.Įd Kolpin, Jr., opened a small tobacco, pipe, and cigar store in Santa Monica, the Tinder Box, in 1928. The store, eventually sold to a Canadian conglomerate, eventually reached 200 retail outlets by 2007, and in the 40 years it operated on a large scale a great number of pipes were made for The Tinder Box by well respected makers. The Tinder Box was the chain of tobacco stores started by Edward Kolpin, Sr., who carved Ed’s Hand Made pipes. I turned to Pipedia for more information on the potential pipe makers for the company ( ). All the other identifying stamps are the same. The only difference is the one I have is stamped Vintage instead of Old Bruyere and is a shape 91 instead of a 61. The pipe I am working on is stamped like the second one, the Bulldog below. I found a listing with three examples shown in the screen capture below. I remembered that The Tinder Box Tobacconist had several pipe companies in Europe make pipes for them so I looked them up on Pipephil’s site ( ). Jeff also captured the remnants of the Tinderbox logo stamp on the topside of the taper stem and the Hand Finished stamp on the underside. The next photos show the stamping on the top and underside of the shank. He took photos of the sides and heel of the bowl to give a sense of the grain on the pipe. The stem looked very good under the oxidation. Jeff always takes some photos of the bowl and rim from various angles to show what it looked like. I like to have an idea of how the pipe was smoked before we got it and what the bowl and rim top looked like. Jeff took photos of the pipe before he started his clean up work. On the underside of the stem it was stamped HAND arched over FINISHED. The Tinder Box logo was stamped on the topside of the taper and was faded and only the frame was clear. The stem was oxidized and had light tooth marks and chatter on both sides at the button. The shape number 91 was at the shank/stem junction. On the underside it was stamped MADE IN LONDON ENGLAND. The pipe is stamped on the topside of the shank and read The Tinder Box Vintage. The finish was filthy with grit and grime ground into the surface of the briar. There was a thick cake in bowl and lava on the rim top and the inner bevel. It was a nice looking Canadian and would look even better once cleaned up. It had an interesting rich brown finish that really highlighted some nice grain around bowl. We purchased the pipe on an online auction from Vanceburg, Kentucky, USA. But the Labour Day weekend is almost over and I have time to work on at least one more pipe so why not this one. Maybe I just wanted a change of pace for a while. It is not a particularly tough restoration so I am not sure why I was dragging my heels. The new location is twice the size as the mall store which allowed us to not only greatly expand our selection of quality products, but to make access to our shop much more convenient for customers.I have had this next pipe sitting in a box next to my desk for several weeks now and finally decided this afternoon to work on. In 2009 the Tinder Box broke with it's historical roots and moved to a fantastic new location on Hosmer Street right along I-5 in Tacoma. The store in the Mall was small, but always crammed with wonderful products. The Tinder Box in Tacoma first opened in the Tacoma Mall 42 years ago where it served Washington for decades, with it's outstanding customer service and great selection of cigars, pipes, and tobaccos. We offer in house engraving and a pipe repair service, but we are best known for our superior customer service and vast industry knowledge. We carry a huge selection of premium cigars, pipe tobaccos, briar and meerschaum pipes, hookahs, hookah tobacco and accessories, humidors, cutters, lighters, pipe accessories, and gifts. Physiologic tremor- Everyone has physiologic tremor. The tremor increases in times of stress and decreases or disappears when you are distracted. Its symptoms may vary but often start and stop suddenly and may affect all body parts. Psychogenic tremor- Psychogenic tremor (also called functional tremor) can appear as any form of tremor. It is caused by damage to the cerebellum and its pathways to other brain regions, often from a stroke or tumor, injury from a disease or an inherited disorder, or from chronic damage due to alcoholism. Familial forms of essential tremor often appear early in life.ĭystonic tremor- Dystonic tremor occurs in people who are affected by dystonia-a movement disorder where incorrect messages from the brain cause muscles to be overactive, resulting in abnormal postures or sustained, unwanted movements. Dystonic tremor usually appears in young or middle-aged adults and can affect any muscle in the body. Symptoms may sometimes be relieved by complete relaxation or the severity may be reduced by touching the affected body part or muscle.Ĭerebellar tremor- Cerebellar tremor is typically a slow, easily visible tremor of the arms, legs, hands, or feet that occurs at the end of a purposeful movement such as pressing a button. Children of a parent who has familial tremor have greater risk of inheriting the condition. About 50 percent of the cases of essential tremor are thought to be caused by a genetic risk factor (referred to as familial tremor). The exact cause of essential tremor is unknown. Studies show essential tremor is accompanied by a mild degeneration of the cerebellum, which is the part of your brain that controls movement. It can be mild and stay the same, or slowly get worse. It also may affect your head and voice and how you walk. Although the tremor can start at any age it most often initially appears during adolescence or in middle age (between ages 40 and 50). ![]() There are more than 20 types of tremor and some of the most common forms include the following:Įssential tremor- Essential tremor (previously also called benign essential tremor or familial tremor) is one of the most common movement disorders. Isometric tremor occurs during a voluntary muscle contraction that is not accompanied by any movement, such as when you are holding a heavy book in the same position.Task-specific tremor only appears when you are performing highly skilled, goal-oriented tasks such as handwriting or speaking.Intention tremor starts when you make an intended movement toward a target, such as lifting a finger to touch your nose.Kinetic tremor is associated with any voluntary movement, such as moving your wrists up and down or closing and opening your eyes.Postural tremor occurs when you are holding a position against gravity, such as keeping your arms outstretched. There are several sub-classifications of action tremor, many of which overlap. Most types of tremor are considered action tremor. This type of tremor is often seen in people with Parkinson's disease.Īction tremor occurs with the voluntary movement of a muscle. Often, the tremor only affects the hand or fingers. Your hands, arms, or legs may shake even when they are at rest. Resting tremor occurs when the muscle is relaxed, such as when your hands are resting on your lap. Tremor can be classified into two main categories: resting and action.
